Pickwick’s at the Banke, the museum store, complements Strawbery Banke with a shopping experience reflecting Portsmouth’s colonial maritime heritage, welcoming shoppers with a uniquely theatrical shopping experience.
Described as a ‘magical space’ featuring local art, artisans, and products; Pickwick’s at the Banke combines some of the feel of the old Dunaway General Store, the neighborhood community of the museum’s recreated Abbott Store, and the touch of theatre by which Pickwick’s Mercantile on State Street distinguished itself.
