Admission
Strawbery Banke Museum’s historic houses are open seasonally, from spring through fall, as well as for special events and programs throughout the year.
Admission is available for purchase online or in-person at the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center, 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth, and are valid for two consecutive days.
Please note: The rates and discounts listed on this page are for daily general museum admission only. They do not apply to special events or separately ticketed programs, including Springfest, Tuesdays on the Terrace, Ghosts on the Banke, Candlelight Stroll, and other special programs. Please refer to each event page for event-specific pricing and discounts.
Save $2 on all general admission options when you purchase online in advance. Not valid on guided or add-on tours. Cannot be combined with other offers. Prices listed per person unless otherwise noted.

Strawbery Banke is a Blue Star Museum, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America. To honor and thank those currently serving in the United States Military, including the National Guard and Reserve, Strawbery Banke provides free general museum admission to those with a valid ID and for up to 5 immediate family members.
Free tickets for US Military and Families are available in person only and do not apply to special events or separately ticketed programs.
Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon your arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid ID.

Individual United States veterans receive one free general museum admission ticket.
Free tickets for U.S. Veterans are available in person only and do not apply to special events or separately ticketed programs.

Through Museums for All, Strawbery Banke provides free general museum admission to those with a SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card and for up to 3 immediate family members.
Free tickets for EBT card holders are available in person only and do not apply to special events or separately ticketed programs.
Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon your arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid EBT card.

Many local libraries participate in Strawbery Banke Museum’s Library Membership program, offering free general museum (and other perks) to their patrons.
Library patrons with a valid pass do not need to reserve tickets in advance on the Museum's website and should contact their library to inquire about pass availability.
Patrons should bring a copy of the library pass and present it at the door to obtain complimentary admission.

Strawbery Banke participates in the #areuin? Card Program through KEY Collective, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through collaboration with program partners, community validators, donors, and supporters.
To support access to meaningful experiences for youth and families, Strawbery Banke provides free general museum admission to #areuin? card members and up to three immediate family members.
This offer does not apply to special events, including Springfest, Tuesdays on the Terrace, Ghosts on the Banke, Candlelight Stroll, or other separately ticketed programs.
Free admission through the #areuin? Card Program is only available in person and cannot be redeemed online. Please inform the staff at the Admissions Desk in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center upon arrival that you qualify and be prepared to show a valid #areuin? card.

Parties of 10 or more individuals qualify to receive discounted general admission tickets. Group rates for museum admission are $18 per adult and $10 per child (ages 5–17).
This rate does not apply to special events or separately ticketed programs.

Ice Skating
Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond, the outdoor ice skating rink at Strawbery Banke Museum operates from late November/early December through February, weather permitting. Public skating sessions occurs in 2-hour time blocks. Click here to learn more.
