Meet the Seacoast Stars

  • Jason Goodrich

Jason Goodrich is a Seacoast real estate professional and long-time nonprofit board member. A sixth-generation Portsmouth resident, he spent nearly 20 years in New York City as an advertising and marketing professional before returning home to become a top-producing realtor. He serves as a Commissioner on Portsmouth's Arts & Culture Commission, and as Chair of the Development Committee for Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC).

Passionate about community and family, Jason cares deeply about how Portsmouth residents support one another, and he strives to model involvement and service for his two young sons, believing that even one person can make a difference. Together, they enjoy all the Seacoast has to offer, from beach days to mountain biking at Stratham Hill, and are always in motion and loving the adventure.

Jason is excited to take on the challenge of Seacoast Skating with the Stars and return to the place where he fondly remembers visiting as a child—Strawbery Banke Museum. He hopes those cold winter days playing pond hockey with his friends have helped him prepare for the skating with the stars event, and looks forward to sharing the experience with his family cheering him on, and to making plenty of smiles along the way.

  • Beth Falconer

Beth Falconer is the Executive Director of 3S Artspace, where she has had the privilege of serving for nine of the organization’s ten years. Although she does not live in Portsmouth, Beth has loved and visited this community for many years, and it has long felt like home thanks to the incredible people she’s met along the way.

A lover of the arts, nature, travel, and good food, they cherish friendships old and new, and above all else, she’s a proud mom who believes curiosity is life’s greatest compass. The “dance” side of ice dancing is firmly in her wheelhouse, having grown up dancing and performing—though she also fondly remembers skating on a local lake after her dad shoveled off the snow.

When Seacoast Skating with the Stars first reached out, Beth’s instinct was to say no–”I’m out of shape, I barely skate and I’m trying to reduce my stress level!” But after calling her son, Elijah, who said, “That’s awesome! You love to skate—you’d regret not doing it,” everything clicked. Sometimes anxiety is just excitement in disguise, and she’s ready to rip off the mask, embrace this incredible opportunity, learn, have fun, and leave it all on the ice!

  • Rebecca Earle

Rebecca Earle is the proprietress of Cotillion Bureau in Portsmouth and HELLO AGAIN vintage in Dover, with nearly 10 years as a small business owner on the Seacoast.  Rebecca is always looking for ways to connect with her community, from fashion shows to fundraisers.  She and her team love to find creative ways to support sustainable fashion, eco-friendly practices, and safe spaces that allow everyone to discover and delight in their unique forms of self-expression.

Passionate about the transformative power of clothing, Rebecca is keen to help visitors to her shops find items that resonate with their vision of life. She is a doting dog mom of two delightful Boston Terriers, aunt to 4 incredible niblings, and MOTHER to all who walk through the doors of her stores!

Rebecca is completely new to ice skating.  Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, she spent her winters skiing and snowboarding. She is super excited to learn a new sport and make some friends along the way!

  • David Higgins

David Higgins is a local resident and a Senior Financial Advisor with more than 20 years at Wells Fargo Advisors. His family moved to Portsmouth in 2014, and he quickly became involved in supporting local businesses and community organizations.

He co-founded the West End Treeline Outfitters Walk Club and helped launch the West End Neighbors Meeting Neighbors event, now an annual West End tradition. Bringing people together is what drives him, whether it’s through community initiatives or cheering on local events.

A lifelong hockey enthusiast, David played high school hockey in Acton, MA, and Division II hockey at New England College in Henniker, NH, before spending five years playing pond hockey at Lake Winnipesaukee and Black Ice. A former college player, he

has also dedicated himself to mentoring his oldest son through the building blocks of youth hockey, high school, college, and the pros. His love for hockey naturally extends to all outdoor activities, including running, hiking, boating, and skiing.

Combining his passion for community and the outdoors, David is thrilled to celebrate another season on the ice with Ice Dance International and Strawbery Banke.

  • Michelle McDonald

Michelle McDonald is the Tax Assessor in Ogunquit, ME. She moved to the Seacoast in 2011 after college, and feels lucky to have built a life here over the past 14 years. Her early jobs at the Roundabout Diner, Seacoast Science Center, Plan NH, and internship with USFS in the White Mountain National Forest sparked a strong connection to the region. She later worked for the Town of Kittery and Municipal Resources, Inc., serving several Seacoast communities as a tax assessor.

Outside of work, Michelle has always found joy in music, movement, and the outdoors. She has sung with Sounds of the Seacoast, danced with Fluere Dance Company, and volunteered with UNH cooperative extension programs including the Natural Resource Stewards, and continues to skate with the Great Bay Figure Skating Club.

After discovering Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond  in 2015, she fell in love with the ice, and a chance encounter with Douglas Webster led her to community class and a decade of skating, friendship, and unforgettable moments. Now living in Kittery with her husband Zachary Yeaton and their son, Theo, she’s excited to return to her favorite place in Portsmouth. Participating in Seacoast Skating with the Stars truly feels like a dream come true.

  • Jonathan Day

Jonathan or Jonny Day is a realtor with Proulx Real Estate in Portsmouth, a managing partner at Centrus Digital - a digital advertising company with 10 years in business in Portsmouth, the Commander of Post 168 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Minister of Mischief for the Portsmouth Halloween Parade, and a Major in the US Air Force Reserve with over 23 years of service.

A self proclaimed "nonprofit addict," Jonathan has co-founded 3 charities, served on half a dozen nonprofit boards, and built his marketing agency to focus on serving nonprofit organizations. He is passionate about service to Veterans, affordable housing, and the arts. Most of his service and volunteer time is spent supporting such organizations.

Jonathan has lived in the seacoast since 2003, and has called Kittery home since 2013. During his limited free time, he enjoys a solid karaoke night at Daniel Street Tavern, and girl dadding to the max with his 11 and 2 year-old daughters. Jonathan has ice skated at least 5 or 6 times in his life, but never backs away from a challenge, and is thrilled to support Strawbery Banke and this amazing event!
