OUTDOOR SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Tuesdays, June 16-August 25, 2026, 6-7:30 PM

Relax into summer evenings with live acoustic and Americana-inspired music (and beyond) set among the historic houses and gardens. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the performances comfortably.

New! Concerts are from 6-7:30 PM and are rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved from the Kennebunk Savings Terrace to the lecture hall in the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center. Please note that indoor seating is limited.

Tickets:
Although tickets are available at the door, registering in advance allows Strawbery Banke to notify you if a concert needs to be moved indoors due to inclement weather.

Food & Beverage

Strawbery Banke Museum will have ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, and a selection of convenient grab-and-go snacks options for purchase.

Guests are invited to enjoy refreshments from Deeluxe Bartending, offering beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages.

    Liz and Dan Faiella bring to life the traditional music of their roots, with crisp vocals, mesmerizing fingerstyle guitar, lyrical fiddling, and exhilarating rhythmic drive. Their music calls to mind the convivial grange hall contradances of their youth in New Hampshire, while conveying a wistfulness for their ancestral Ireland. Liz and Dan have taken the stage at premier folk venues throughout New England, including Club Passim, the Acadia Trad Festival, Maine Celtic Celebration, Little Sea Folk Festival, and the Boston Celtic Music Festival. They are sought-after teachers, and have shared their craft with students at camps, festivals, and community music schools. Their debut album, At Long Last (2018), explores heartache, wonder, and joy, expressed through the traditional music they love. Their latest release is Good People All (2025), a Christmas folk album.

    This marks Caitlin’s second appearance at Strawbery Banke Museum’s Tuesdays on the Terrace series. She will be joined by a full band, featuring Jim Dozet on guitar and PJ Donahue on drums, performing a family-friendly mix of original songs, drawing from her newly released debut soul-pop album, alongside fun, familiar covers.

    North River Music performs as an acoustic  duo/trio or a four to six piece band.  The band has played regularly at concert series, festivals and events in New Hampshire and Maine for more than 15 years. The group features a rotating cast with some of the best musicians in the area playing fresh takes on familiar songs.

    North River has an Americana sound with strong harmonies and expressive musicianship. Playing covers of rock, bluegrass and country songs, a North River set is fun to listen to with something familiar for everyone. From the Eagles and Dylan to the Indigo Girls and Grateful Dead come to dance, come to listen - you’ll like what you hear!

  • Ethan Robbins of Cold Chocolate

    Ethan Robbins is the guitarist/songwriter of Americana band, Cold Chocolate, a genre-bending Americana band that fuses folk, funk, and bluegrass to create unique a sound all their own. Ethan began his bluegrass career at Oberlin College where he began to explore how this hard-driving fast-paced genre could be stretched. A classical violinist from age four, Ethan fell in love with the guitar when he turned fourteen and his father bought him five quintessential albums: The Band’s “Music from Big Pink,” Bob Dylan’s “Bringing it all Back Home,” John Hartford’s “Steam Powered Aereo-plane,” Hank Williams “Live at the Grand Ole Opry,” and the Grateful Dead’s “Workingman’s Dead.” Ever since, Ethan has attempted to bring those raw, rootsy sounds into his own original material.His band, Cold Chocolate, has established itself as a force in the Americana genre.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Tuesdays on the Terrace is a summer concert series featuring live acoustic music at Strawbery Banke Museum's Kennebunk Savings Terrace. The event runs every Tuesday in the summer months.

  • The concerts are held just outside the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center, 14 Hancock Street. Musicians perform on the Kennebunk Savings Terrace and the audience is invited to sit in the grassy area near it.

TICKETS AND RESERVATIONS:

  • Tickets are $8 for the general public, free for Strawbery Banke members and children under 3.

  • Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to another person.

  • Strawbery Banke is happy to accommodate requests for purchased tickets to be transferred to a different date within within 24 hours of the ticket purchase. The Museum will work with the ticket purchaser within the 24-hour window, as availability allows, to make the adjustments requested.

    Note that Strawbery Banke is unable to accommodate requests for purchased tickets to be transferred to a different date outside of the 24-hour window.

LOGISTICS AND PARKING:

  • Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating.

  • Concerts are held outdoors. In the event of inclement weather (rain, etc.), the performance will be moved inside the Lawrence J. Yerdon Visitors Center, 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth, NH.

    A weather-related location change will be announced no later than 2 PM on the day of the concert by email to those pre-registered. The update will also be posted next to the concert date on this page and on Strawbery Banke’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

  • The parking lot at Strawbery Banke Museum, located at 14 Hancock Street, is limited in size and parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
