2020/2021 Learn to Skate Program
Enrollment is now closed for 2020/2021 Learn to Skate Program. Check back in late October 2021 for 2021/2022 Learn to Skate session dates.

Learn to Skate programs at Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond are held on our outdoor rink located at Strawbery Banke Museum and are offered by Lisa Langley, professional skating instructor.


  • $85/ Youth (under 18)
  • $105/ Adult (18+)

Classes meet 1 day/week for 5 weeks.  There are no classes between Dec. 22, 2020, and Jan. 2, 2021.  

Session 1 Dates/Times: Week of December 1– Week ending January 16
Enrollment now closed for Session 1. 

Session 2 Dates/Times: Week of January 19- Week ending February 20
Enrollment now closed for Session 1. 

Additional information:

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, please limit guests to 1 parent and skater. Masks are required for all, on & off the ice. 
  • **New Skaters MUST be at least five-years-old at the time of enrollment.
  • Helmets are required for all children. Bike helmets are acceptable.  Ice skates are included for participants if needed. 
  • Parents are NOT allowed on the ice during lessons.
  • Payment/refund policy: Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. All Learn to Skate enrollments must be paid in full at the time of signup. All deposits/payments are non-refundable unless the program is canceled or it is authorized by the program director.
  • No refunds or make-ups will be given for missed classes.
  • If the rink must be closed due to weather during a scheduled lesson, every attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson.  If that is not possible, a free skate pass may be issued.  Weather cancellations will be posted on the Labrie Family Skate Facebook Page,  and email notifications will be sent the day of by 2 PM, whenever possible.  A school cancellation does NOT mean skate lessons will be canceled.
