Learn to Skate programs at Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond are held on our outdoor rink located at Strawbery Banke Museum.  There is an indoor changing area as well as a warm viewing area and cafe in the TYCO Visitors Center.

Learn to Skate programs at Labrie Family Skate are offered by Lisa Langley, professional skating instructor.

2019-20 Season Lesson Schedule


  • Session 1 Week of December 2 – Week ending January 19th 
  • Session 2 Week of January 20 – Week ending February 23rd

Classes meet 1 day/week for 5 weeks.  There are no classes between Dec. 24, 2019 and Jan. 3, 2020

Classes are offered on the following days/times:

  • Tuesdays Tots 10:00 - 10:40 am (Session 2 only)
  • Tuesdays at 4:00 – 4:40 pm
  • Tuesdays at 4:50 – 5:30 pm
  • Thursdays at 4:00 – 4:40 pm 
  • Thursdays at 4:50 - 5:30 pm
  • Thursdays at 4:50 – 5:30 pm  *Adults 
  • Saturdays at 1:00 – 1:40 pm

Lesson fees (includes skate rental for each lesson):

  • Child $85 per Session
  • Adult $105 per Session

SESSION 2 SATURDAY CLASS ONLY will meet 4 days—1/25, 2/1, 2/15 and 2/22.  It will NOT meet on Saturday, Feb. 8th—the Skating Show will be held that day! The prorated price for this session is $68.

Additional information:

  • Helmets are required for all children.  Bike helmets are acceptable.  Ice skates are included for participants if needed. 
  • PAYMENT/REFUND POLICY: Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. All Learn to Skate enrollments must be paid in full at the time of signup. All deposits/payments are non-refundable unless the program is canceled or it is authorized by the program director.
  • No refunds or make-ups will be given for missed classes.
  • If the rink must be closed due to weather during a scheduled lesson, every attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson.  If that is not possible, a free skate pass may be issued.  Weather cancellations will be posted on the Labrie Family Skate Facebook Page, and email notifications will be sent day of by 2 pm, whenever possibleA school cancellation does NOT mean skate lessons will be canceled—please check the Facebook page or call the rink (603-422-0600)
