Birthday Parties at Strawbery Banke
**September 2022 Update: Due to staffing challenges, Strawbery Banke is not currently offering children's birthday party programs.**
Strawbery Banke Museum is the perfect place to host your child’s birthday party. Stoodley's Tavern, the education building, provides a large area for children to engage in games and activities, as well as space for guests to enjoy birthday cake and gifts. Each two-hour party package includes an engaging activity led by museum staff, exciting historic games, and a special craft to take home. Time for cake and opening gifts is provided.
Cost:
Members $275; Nonmembers $300. Parties are limited to 15 children plus accompanying adults. Ages 6 & up.
Colonial Merriment
Celebrate a birthday at Strawbery Banke in Colonial Style. Learn how to bake gingerbread on an 18th-century hearth, play colonial games, and try your hand at your choice of early American crafts. Craft options include:
- Writing with quill pens
- Making a copybook
- Mixing herbal tooth powder
Victorian Celebration
Enjoy a fine and fancy Victorian birthday at Strawbery Banke! Bake cookies on a nineteenth-century cast-iron cookstove, play Victorian parlor games, and make one of three historical crafts. Options include:
- Decorating a fan
- Using pen and ink to create a Victorian nameplate
- Making a thaumatrope
Personalize a Party
Bring a birthday cake, beverages, party decorations, and favors to add even more excitement to your child’s birthday. Strawbery Banke allows party hosts up to 30 minutes for set-up prior to the start of the party and use of the room for the duration of the party. Strawbery Banke also offers pre-packed sets of party favors for $10 each.
