Strawbery Banke Museum to host Annual Vintage & Vine Wine Tasting & Sale* Fine wine and gourmet food tour in historic style set for Saturday, September 8, 2012 VIP Reserve Tasting, 4-5:30 pm (only) Tasting & Sale, 4-7 pm TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.
This special evening offers a VIP Reserve Tasting (special ticket), an intimate gathering 4-5:30 pm in the gardens of the Goodwin Mansion, featuring valuable ($100/bottle) rare vintages, gourmet treats and live music. Designated Driver tickets. (Discount for Strawbery Banke Museum members.) A portion of each ticket is tax deductible. Strawbery Banke Museum presents Vintage & Vine, in partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets, offering guests a rare opportunity to taste hundreds of wines alongside selections created by some of the Seacoast’s best chefs and restaurants. The New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets representatives and wine brokers are active participants in the event, providing tasting notes and suggestions and will be selling wines at a special discount good only at the event. The VIP Reserve Tasting from 4-5:30 pm (VIP ticket, which includes admission to the main event, required) allows guests to sample valuable, rare vintages, retailing for more than $100 per bottle

The Meat House will be serving freshly grilled steak tips and chicken as well as salads, antipasto and artisanal cheeses in the main tent throughout the event as the tent sponsor. . Other magical touches include live music by Rhythm Method, a bonfire, a silent auction of some otherwise unobtainable items, and a VIP Reserve Wine Tasting in the Goodwin Garden– all to raise funds to keep the Museum’s great work in education, preservation, heirloom gardens and historical research going. Thank you to Regal Limousine Service who offered free local trolley service in 2011 for guests and volunteers. The 26-passenger Regal trolley will pick up and drop off guests at key areas within the City of Portsmouth for the annual wine tour from 3 - 8 pm.
