*Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

Strawbery Banke Museum presents Vintage & Vine, in partnership with the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets, offering guests a rare opportunity to taste hundreds of wines alongside selections created by some of the Seacoast’s best chefs and restaurants. The New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets representatives and wine brokers are active participants in the event, providing tasting notes and suggestions and will be selling wines at a special discount good only at the event. The VIP Reserve Tasting from 4-5:30 pm (VIP ticket, which includes admission to the main event, required) allows guests to sample valuable, rare vintages, retailing for more than $100 per bottle

To help make the most of your tasting experience, here are some tips from our partner, the NH State Liquor & Wine Outlets:

Vintage & Vine 2011 Star Chefs

·         Mark Gaier and Clark Frasier, Arrows Restaurant, Ogunquit, ME

·         Evan Mallett, Black Trumpet Bistro & Wine Bar, Portsmouth, NH

·         Thomas Perron, Mombo Restaurant, Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth, NH

·         Michael Buckley, Surf Portsmouth, Portsmouth, NH

·         Mark Segal, The 100 Club, Portsmouth, NH

These Star Chefs prepared food utilizing ingredients from local farms and fishermen in addition to the dozens of Seacoast restaurants that offered their culinary favorites throughout the Museum’s historic landmarks such as the Victory Garden, Walsh House, Heritage Garden, Pitt Tavern, Chase House, and others. The Meat House will be serving freshly grilled steak tips and chicken as well as salads, antipasto and artisanal cheeses in the main tent throughout the event as the tent sponsor.

.

Other magical touches include live music by Rhythm Method, a bonfire, a silent auction of some otherwise unobtainable items, and a VIP Reserve Wine Tasting in the Goodwin Garden– all to raise funds to keep the Museum’s great work in education, preservation, heirloom gardens and historical research going.

Thank you to Regal Limousine Service who offered free local trolley service in 2011 for guests and volunteers. The 26-passenger Regal trolley will pick up and drop off guests at key areas within the City of Portsmouth for the annual wine tour from 3 - 8 pm. Further details will be available on Facebook prior to the event at www.facebook.com/StrawberyBankeVintageandVine.
