Strawbery Banke Museum livens up the Seacoast winter and the decision to come out to skate on Thursday evenings at Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond by presenting a FREE, six-week, live music series on Thursday evenings, January 16 through February 20. An outgrowth of the popular Tuesdays on the Terrace summer music series, Thursdays in the Café invites a new roster of musicians to perform in Figtree Kitchen Café in the TYCO Visitors Center, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Food and beverages, including beer and wine are available for purchase from Figtree Kitchen Café in the visitor center.

Admission is FREE, thanks to underwriting from Kennebunk Savings Bank, which also sponsors Tuesdays on the Terrace. The skating rink is open until 9 pm and skate rentals are available for $6.

TUESDAYS ON THE TERRACE

Thanks to a grant from Kennebunk Savings Bank, the popular open-air acoustic music concerts series, Tuesdays on the Terrace, returns to Strawbery Banke Museum! A different artist performs on the terrace outside of TYCO Visitors Center each Tuesday in July and August from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Sit back, relax, and listen to fantastic local artists! Refreshing beverages, including beer and wine, and delicious eats are available for purchase Figtree Kitchen café.
 

TICKET COST + INFORMATION:
Tuesdays on the Terrace is open to the public and tickets are only available at the door of the event. Visitors are welcome to tour the grounds and gardens of the Museum!

JEFF WARNER: July 23, 2019, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Jeff Warner is among the nation’s foremost performer/interpreters of traditional music.  His songs from the lumber camps, fishing villages and mountain tops of America connect 21st-century audiences with the everyday lives–and artistry–of 19th century Americans. His songs, rich in local history and a sense of place, bring us the latest news from the distant past.

LIZ & DAN FAIELLA:  July 30, 2019, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Liz and Dan Faiella bring to life the traditional music of their roots, with crisp vocals, mesmerizing finger-style guitar, lyrical fiddling, and exhilarating rhythmic drive. Their music calls to mind the convivial grange hall contradances of their youth in New Hampshire while conveying a wistfulness for their ancestral Ireland.

Tom Richter & The Sidewalk Boys,  “Sidewalk” Tom Richter, Brian “Chunkman” Goetz, and “Steinway” Dave Lemieux, return to the terrace with original folk, blues, and Americana.

FOX + THE ROYS : August 13, 2019, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Laura Fox is a folk/soul singer-songwriter from southern Maine. An intimate and engaging performer, she writes about love and the lack thereof. At this show, she’ll be joined by Whitney and Steve Roy (of OldHat Stringband) with Whitney on harmonies and Steve jumping between upright bass and mandolin?!

GARY SREDZIENSKIAugust 20, 2019, 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Playing for over 40 years, Gary Creekman Sredzienski is an exceptionally versatile accordionist with a repertoire is the result of meeting musicians from a wide variety of cultures and styles. He performs music from a wide range of world and American traditions as well as 1960’s surf rock, traditional ethnic, and accordion compositions with the Portsmouth based group, the ‘Serfs.’ Gary will be joined by sidekick Bill Zecker who will be playing guitar, fiddle, and mandolin.
