Strawbery Banke’s education programs, camps, and activities for kids are making the Museum a leader in serving families from the Seacoast area and beyond. Last year we hosted 12,208 children in our school tours and workshops, Thanksgiving programs, camps, and Discovery Center alone – not to mention the thousands who attended our wildly popular holiday events. This season we’re pleased to add new and innovative programs that give families, teachers, and youth groups great reasons to come back to Strawbery Banke.
Dedicated SBM Volunteer Phyllis Crosby shows young campers the ropes aboard the Gundalow.

Just for Kids: A Victorian Children’s Garden!
The Victorian Children’s Garden, nestled next to the Goodwin Garden hothouse, will offer young visitors the opportunity to dig, delve, and discover the delights of Victorian-era gardening. The garden includes a period tree house and other hands-on surprises.
The garden was made possible by a generous grant from former trustee, Jane S. Keough and by the Parker Nelson Foundation, Citizen’s Bank.
“Mrs. Goodwin” teaches a group of Junior Roleplayers about such important Victorian-era subjects as tending a garden and comporting oneself as a lady.
