Clench Nails PDF Print E-mail

Strawbery Banke Museum has put The Gundalow Company in charge of the the last three nail making machines in the United States producing cut copper clench nails for boat builders and other hobbyists. For information about ordering clench nails, call The Gundalow Company at 603-433-9505.

Built in 1903 for the Atlas Tack Company of Fairhaven, MA, the machines were acquired upon the liquidation of the firm in 1975 to ensure these fastenings would continue to be available. For more information about the history of clench nails, please click here.
